Activity of russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups in Sumy, Chernihiv, and Kharkiv oblasts has decreased in recent months – Andrii Demchenko
russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups have not abandoned attempts to infiltrate Ukrainian territory, but their activity has decreased. Andrii Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, stated this during a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine.
“Over the past few months, the activity of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups has significantly decreased, especially compared to last year. However, the threat of enemy sabotage operations remains,” he said.
Demchenko added that, as before, the most enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups are detected within the Sumy oblast.
“In the Chernihiv oblast, there was an incident where an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group infiltrated for propaganda purposes — to raise their tricolor flag and present it as some kind of victory,” the spokesperson noted.
