3rd Assault Brigade revolutionizes logistics: Every week ground robots deliver dozens of tons of supplies to the frontlines
During a briefing at the Media Center Ukraine, Viktor “Stark” Pavlov, founder of the UGV Operator School and platoon commander of Unmanned Ground Robotic Systems with the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, revealed how unmanned logistics are transforming warfare.
“Logistics is the foundation. Without supply lines, there is no war. In our brigade, we’ve shifted to transporting most cargo via robotic systems — dozens of tons weekly. We’ve almost completely replaced traditional logistics with drone-based deliveries,” Pavlov stated.
According to the 3rd Assault Brigade, for example, a person can carry an average of 20 kilograms, whereas robotic technology can deliver up to 200 kilograms to the front line.
Other important functions of robotic units include evacuating the wounded, demining, and providing fire support.
